If you know me, you will know that yoga philosophy guides the trajectory of my life.  It is the practice that informs the way I experience everything else.  

I experience yoga as the opportunity to cultivate the tools I need to navigate life.  It doesn’t eliminate or even solve problems, It doesn’t make me perfect or nice or even happy.  The practice of yoga supports me on my journey towards self acceptance, self awareness and self love.  It is instrumental in cultivating a more steady and even inner world when my outer world is anything but.  It shows me how to more fully accept that I am here through love to love more fully, every day.

If you already have a yoga practice, you will find that your pre and postnatal yoga practice has many similarities to your regular practice.  It is the focus, that is different.  The transformation of pregnancy and giving birth is like no other and the tools you may already have acquired from your regular practice can be powerful instruments in your transformation, body, mind and soul.  However, you do not need to have ever practiced yoga to benefit in a powerful way from a pre and postnatal yoga practice.  

During our time together we will focus on preparing you for birth through body movement, breath practice and meditation in order to safely support the changes you are experiencing and to prepare you for the birthing experience.  Together we will cultivate a practice for you that may include stretching, mental focus, breath awareness, strength, flexibility and endurance to support you in this time of transfiguration.
